This kit will double the size of an existing Mini Grow Bed, taking the total surface area to one square metre. The kit comprises two 97.5cm panels, a steel U brace, two link cover mouldings and 8 nuts and bolts. Assembly does require the use of an electric drill but should take less than 20 minutes.

It is possible to lengthen a 51cm wide Grow Bed indefinitely using additional extension kits, with each extension kit adding half a square metre. Please note that it is not possible to widen a Mini Grow Bed beyond the standard width of 51cm.

A UV stabilised cover tailored to fit over the Crop Support Frame for the Mini Grow Bed. The Cover features a zip up central access door plus two window vents and is supplied with ground anchor stakes. At half the size of our original Grow Bed, the Mini Grow Bed still offers a more than useful half square metre of growing area. With a depth of 25cm, the internal capacity is 115 Litres. This unit is ideal for growing a whole host of crops such as carrots, potatoes and onions.

The Mini Grow Bed is sufficiently compact to make it suitable for use on patios, decking or even balconies, although such users may wish to purchase the optional liner. A liner is not supplied as standard with the product and is not absolutely necessary unless the product is to be used on non solid surfaces such as decking. It is also possible to extend an existing Mini Grow Bed with the optional extension kit.

These 19mm diameter galvanised steel support hoops provide a useful sturdy framework for frost protecting materials such as polythene of fleece or pest control netting. The leg of each hoop locates firmly into the open slots of the Timber Grow Bed's internal corner connectors. Customers should note that covering materials should be 3 metres in width to cover the span of the hoops.

Timber Grow Bed MicroMesh Cover

The cover is perfectly tailored to fit over an existing Timber Grow Bed with Pair of Steel Support Hoops. The micro mesh prevents access to all common garden pests large and small, including even the smallest insects. Crucially the material will allow water to pass through, ensuring that the bed can be watered with the cover in situ if preferred. The cover itself attaches to the Timber Grow Bed using the 2 screw hooks that are included with the product preventing the cover from becoming dislodged in windy conditions.

This unit is ideal for growing crops such as carrots, potatoes, and onions as well as brassicas such as cabbage and broccoli and squashes such as courgette (zucchini) and pumpkin.

Please note that this Grow Bed does not feature a base / liner. It is possible to build a deeper Grow Bed by stacking one unit on top of another. It is also possible to extend an existing Grow Bed using an Extension Kit.
