Tumbling garden composters are known to accelerate the rate of decomposition in a composter - meaning you can compost more waste in a shorter space of time. Instead of 'forking' or mixing the waste with an aeration tool (or indeed just leaving it to rot down) you mix through the action of tumbling the waste inside the compost tumbler.
