Monstera Deliciosa Swiss Cheese Plant 19cm

The Monstera Deliciosa, commonly known as the Swiss Cheese Plant, originates from Central and South America. Here are some guidelines for nurturing this captivating tropical beauty:

Light: This plant thrives in bright, indirect light. Exposure to direct sunlight can scorch its leaves, while too little light will make it spindly.

Water: Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out before rewatering. It prefers slightly moist soil, but be cautious of overwatering to prevent root rot. Water less frequently during winter.

Humidity: High humidity levels are ideal for this plant. You can boost humidity by placing a water tray nearby, using a humidifier, or clustering it with other plants.

Temperature: The Monstera Deliciosa grows best in temperatures ranging from 65-85°F (18-29°C). Avoid placing it near cold drafts or air conditioning units.

Soil: Well-draining soil rich in organic matter is perfect for this plant.

Fertilizer: Apply a balanced fertilizer every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Refrain from fertilizing in the winter.

Variable Heights: The height of our plants can vary by about +/- 10%. This natural variability ensures you receive a distinctive and healthy plant. Please note that the images are for illustrative purposes only.

Pruning: Trim your Monstera regularly to maintain its shape and encourage fuller growth. Remove yellowing or damaged leaves or branches promptly.

Support: Supporting structures like moss poles or trellises help the plant's natural climbing tendency.

Propagation: Stem cuttings or air layering are effective methods for propagation. Use cuttings with nodes placed in water or moist soil until roots develop. For air layering, create an incision in the stem, fill it with sphagnum moss, cover with plastic wrap, and wait for roots to form before detaching from the mother plant.

By adhering to these care tips, you can ensure your Monstera Deliciosa prospers, providing lush greenery indoors.
