Alocasia Zebrina, commonly known as Elephant Ear, is a tropical plant renowned for its captivating, zebra-striped stems. To ensure your Alocasia Zebrina remains healthy and vibrant, consider the following care guidelines:
✔ Light: This plant flourishes in bright, indirect light. While it can survive in lower light conditions, its growth may slow and it may produce fewer leaves. Steer clear of direct sunlight, as it can burn the foliage.
✔ Water: Maintain evenly moist soil without waterlogging it. Thoroughly water the plant when the top inch of soil feels dry. It’s important not to let the soil dry out entirely between waterings, but also be cautious of overwatering to prevent root rot.
✔ Humidity: High humidity is ideal for Alocasia Zebrina. Boost humidity levels by using a nearby humidifier, placing a tray of water close to the plant, or regularly misting the leaves.
✔ Temperature: This plant thrives in warm temperatures ranging from 65-80°F (18-27°C). Protect it from drafts and cold windows to maintain its health.
