Our Garden Furniture Clear Wood sealer is derived from a teak marine treatment specifically engineered to protect against sun damage, rain, and frost while allowing the wood to breathe. This environmentally-friendly formula creates a durable micro-porous surface with a subtle matte look. Unlike colored stains, this product applies a clear coat that highlights the natural beauty of teak. It's the perfect choice if you prefer your teak furniture to develop a silver-gray patina over time or if you want to treat our natural outdoor wicker furniture.
Our Garden Wood sealer is our personal recommendation for maintaining your garden furniture in optimal condition. Its industrial strength makes it suitable for boat use, ensuring that the timber remains sealed and its longevity is preserved.
Applying Clear Sealer to Wicker –
1. First, use a soft bristle brush to remove any debris from the wicker furniture, targeting all areas.
2. On a dry day use warm soapy water and a cloth or non-abrasive sponge to wash down the wicker once this has been completed leave your furniture to dry out completely before applying any aftercare.
3. Once your furniture is dry, shake the container well and apply the clear sealer directly onto the wicker using a brush and be sure to get into all the nooks between the weaves. Two coats can be applied wet on wet.
4. Finally, leave to dry for up to 12 hours or until the furniture no longer feels tacky
Applying Clear Sealer to Teak –
1. First, use a soft bristle brush to remove any debris from the garden furniture, targeting all areas. If dirt or discolouration is still apparent, please use a very light sandpaper to remove.
2. On a dry day use warm soapy water and a lint-free cloth to wash down the furniture once this has been completed leave your outdoor furniture to dry out completely before applying any aftercare.
3. Once your furniture is dry, apply the clear sealer directly to a lint-free rag/cloth then work the product into the timber following the grain, remembering to work the product between the slats too!
4. Finally, leave to dry for up to 12 hours or until the furniture no longer feels tacky
