Bokashi Composting

As an easy, no-smell and minimally messy method of composting, bokashi is a fermentation process which creates an almost pickled layer of mould on top of your kitchen waste. Bokashi itself is a fermented type of bran, which is sprinkled into your kitchen refuse and sealed tight inside a bucket, turning it into compostable matter—or what some would consider pre-compost—within around a fortnight. This can then be added to your regular compost pile, having been broken down more quickly than if it were put there to begin with. Our Bokashi bins are available in single and double kits, which include Bokashi bran and detailed instructions.
