Ficus Abidjan Rubber Plant 27cm Pot House Plant

Ficus Abidjan is a rare and unusual plant with deep green and pink leaves. Here are some care tips to help you keep your Ficus Abidjan healthy and thriving:

Light: Ficus Abidjan prefers bright, indirect light. It can tolerate low light, but it may not grow as quickly or produce as many leaves. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch the leaves.

Water: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant thoroughly when the top inch of soil feels dry. Do not let the soil completely dry out between watering, but avoid overwatering as it can lead to root rot.

Humidity: Ficus Abidjan loves high humidity. You can increase humidity by placing a humidifier near the plant, placing a tray of water near the plant, or misting the leaves regularly.

Temperature: Ficus Abidjan prefers warm temperatures between 65-85°F (18-29°C). Keep the plant away from drafts and cold windows.

Variable Heights: The height of our plants can vary by approximately +/- 10%. This natural fluctuation ensures you receive a unique and healthy specimen. Images are for representation only.

✔ Fertilizer: You can fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer. Do not fertilize during the dormant season (fall and winter).

✔ Pruning: You can prune the plant to control its size and shape or to remove any damaged or yellowing leaves. This will also help promote new growth.

✔ Repotting: Ficus Abidjan grows slowly and does not require frequent repotting. Repot it only when the plant has outgrown its pot. Use a well-draining soil mix and a pot that is one size larger than the current pot.

✔ Pests: Ficus Abidjan can be prone to spider mites, mealybugs, and scale insects. Inspect the plant regularly and treat any pests promptly with an appropriate insecticide.

✔ Soil: Ficus Abidjan prefers a well-draining soil mix that is rich in organic matter. You can use a mixture of peat moss, perlite, and potting soil to create a soil mix that is well-draining and nutrient-rich.
