Water the plant thoroughly before inserting the vial into the soil. Cut off the top of the vial and place the nozzle at a slight angle, facing away from the plant. Variations in soil type and density can cause significant differences in the flow rate of feed from the vial. Generally, the vial should last around 15 days but might empty faster in some situations. Rest assured, even if it empties earlier, the plant will still receive sufficient nutrients for 15 days.
